How to Use the Secure Payment System for a Used-Vehicle Sale

Follow the process from seller registration and buyer payment to notary transfer and release of funds.

The Secure Payment System synchronises payment of the used-vehicle price with the transfer of ownership. Since 27 September 2024 it has been mandatory for applicable cash, transfer, EFT and FAST transactions by individuals and legal entities.

Why is it used?

In a direct transfer one party carries risk before the notary transaction is complete. Under the secure system, money remains in a controlled account and is released only after ownership transfer is confirmed.

Step by step

  1. Seller creates the record: Seller, buyer and vehicle details are entered through an authorised bank or payment institution.
  2. A reference is issued: The buyer receives the transaction reference.
  3. Buyer verifies details: Vehicle, seller and price must match the agreement.
  4. Funds are transferred: The buyer pays using the correct reference and instructions.
  5. Notary sale is completed: Ownership is transferred.
  6. Seller receives the funds: The system releases payment after confirmation.

Important precautions

  • Use the reference only for the relevant transaction.
  • Compare buyer, seller, plate and price before payment.
  • Ignore links outside official or authorised channels.
  • Check cancellation conditions and service fees.

The Toruklar Group approach

Secure payment, independent inspection and notary checks do not replace one another; each is a separate layer of a transparent sale.
